Our Mission:
“Love, inspire, equip and empower people to encounter God personally and live out His plans and purposes”

Home Church Worship, just for you!

This “Home Church Worship” pack is to assist everyone to have a special time at home on Sunday between 10.30am and 11.30am and Wednesdays between 7.30pm and 8.30pm

Our love for God, unity of purpose, commitment to prayer and to reach out to each other, will bring us through this season in victory, but we all have to focus on Jesus and His Word! Of course, afterwards you’ll have to make you own cuppa and cake!

Every Sunday at 10.30am and Wednesday at 7.30pm prepare your kitchen, lounge or bedroom for a time of worship. If possible, play Christian music before and after and resolve in your heart: I can and I will connect with the Lord Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit knowing that the whole church family and friends, near and far, are doing the same.

What do you need?

A Bible, some good light, perhaps a glass of water, switch off the connection for phones, put the dog in another room. If at all possible, let the children join you. It is us and God – with our hearts ready to worship and with an open Bible.

Let’s begin….Read aloud – it will help us to focus.

“This is the Day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad it!” Psalm 118:24

Let’s pray: “Heavenly Father, we come into Your Presence today in the Wonderful Name of Jesus our Saviour to bring You our praise and thanks. We declare there is no God like our God who rules in all the affairs of men. As we intentionally gather with our Church Family, albeit virtually, we welcome your Holy Spirit to infuse us with inner strength and a deep sense that You are ever present. We lift a song to praise your great Name!”

Song: Great are You Lord by Casting Crowns
You give life, You are love You bring light to the darkness You give hope, You restore Every heart that is broken Great are You, Lord
Chorus: It’s your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise We pour out our praise It’s your breath in our lungs, So we pour out our praise to You only. Repeat above
Bridge: And all the earth will shout Your praise Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing Great are You, Lord. Repeat bridge, Repeat chorus

Mothering Sunday 22nd March 2020

Take time to thank God for your own Mother who carried you in her own body and gave birth to you. Consider Psalm 139 verse 13, 14 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Thank God for being very present with your mother while you were being formed. Praise God that she co-operated with your Maker to bring you to life. The Bible has many verses to remind us to honour our Father and Mother. (New Testament in Eph 6: 2

Take a few minutes to reflect with thankfulness; at this time include the children – encourage them say “Thank you” to their Mummy and let them think of the commandment with promise.

Bible Study for today:

In preparation for Easter, we are reading the book “The Glory of the Cross” We have discussed The Living Word, The Good Shepherd and this week, we look at “Seeing the Glory of the Cross.” Slowly read John 12: 1 – 9

After raising Lazarus from the dead, Mary honours and worships Jesus the best way she knows how. No expense is spared, she is flamboyant, audacious, emotional in front of all in the room, wiping His feet with her hair!

How do we love Jesus when others are around? Do we hide behind the “stiff upper lip”? How do we express honour to parents? To truly give honour starts in the heart filled with love and gratitude, which overflows with words and actions. We all may have come short in expressing honour for our parents or the Lord. When we remember the cost to give us life, we can humbly say “Thank you”. When we think of the Glory of the Cross, we remember Jesus who went to the cross for us all to give us Life Eternal.

Now today let’s move forward, give yourself permission to be a worshipper, declare: “I am not ashamed to be lover of Jesus”. As you are at home, what an opportunity to bow down, honour Him afresh, praise Him loudly and boldly. Turn the music up, sing a song of love – Jesus is with you at home, love and adore Him!

Back to the Bible – while some worshipped and adored the Lord Jesus, others where plotting to kill Him; he knew but did not defend himself or take offence. Jesus, the Son of God was crucified for you and for me.

In preparation to celebrate Easter, we do not want fear, shame, offense or unforgiveness to be in our hearts or play in our thoughts or emotions. Forgive as Jesus forgives, repent from offense, have faith towards God and love those around you.
