Sunday

Worship at The GateA warm welcome to all:

Family Sunday Service at 10.30 am

We share communion on the first Sunday of every month in our Sunday morning celebration service.

What you can expect when you visit

We start our Sunday service with lively music and singing (praise and worship). The words are projected onto a screen at the front of the hall. You will find that we sometimes clap as we are singing. You might also see that some people raise their hands as they worship - people do this for different reasons, but mainly they are praising God by physically and publicly demonstrating to Him that they need Him and are reaching out to Him.

At least one of the songs is aimed specifically at the children and will usually have actions for them to join in. It is fun and most of the adults will also join in with the actions. We hope that you will feel comfortable enough to join in too if you want to!

One of our pastors will also teach us from the Bible and help us to understand how it is still relevant for us today. During this time the children will usually leave the main service and enjoy a time together which is more relevant to them.

If you visit us on a week when we have communion, please feel free to join in with this; just remain seated and you will be served where you are. If you would rather not take communion, please let the servers know and they will simply pass you by. We want you to feel comfortable and free to decide for yourself which you prefer.

If you feel that you would like someone to pray with you for any reason, there will be an opportunity for this at the end of the service.

At the end of the service we will enjoy some time together over a cup of tea or coffee ... and cake! Please don't hurry away!
